Jack Herer, the hemp activist!

How can hemp still save the world?

From the early 1970s until his death in 2010, Jack Herer dedicated himself to working every day to make hemp legal. To fulfill his mission, Jack Herer compiled existing research and data on hemp. This knowledge would form the foundation of his seminal book, The Emperor Has No Clothes, which remains to this day the most widely read pro-hemp book in the world. In it, he presents the many applications of hemp, thereby justifying its economic and industrial value. He describes in detail how hemp can be used for textiles, paper, medicine, food, and even fuel production. He also highlights how easily this plant can be cultivated and how it could aid in the development of communities. CBD is one of the natural compounds derived from certain varieties of hemp, which is now widely studied for its potential uses.

With his slogan, " How can hemp still save the world? ", he quickly became a leading figure in the worldwide hemp advocacy movement. In fact, his work is still used to this day in discussions to legalize cannabis in states where the law is strict.

He founded and directed H.E.M.P., an organization dedicated to helping end marijuana prohibition. A visionary, Jack Herer was also one of the first to open a hemp store in California, which led to its gradual expansion across the West Coast. The opening of these stores paved the way for the legalization of cannabis in the country and its medical use.

In honor of the activist, the Jack Herer Cup is held every year in Las Vegas. For its part, Mama Kana offers a variety of top-of-the-range flowers to pay tribute to him.

Rest in Peace Jack
