What are the differences between full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, and isolate CBD oil?

Maybe you've already looked intoCBD oil, and if so, you should know that there are three major cannabidiol oil formulas. It's not easy to understand the differences between full-spectrum, broad-spectrum and isolate CBD oil, but we'll explain it all here.

Full-spectrum CBD oil

Full-spectrum CBD oil is composed of a neutral vegetable oil base and molecules derived from cannabis, including CBD. It's the one you'll find in our CBD store!

It's said to be full-spectrum because, in addition to CBD, it's made up of other cannabinoids such as CBN, THC in minute quantities, etc., flavonoids rich in antioxidants and terpenes responsible for flavour.

Full-spectrum CBD oil benefits from what is known as the " entourage effect ", which is a chemical mechanism whereby all the active ingredients in CBD work together in symbiosis with the human organism. Ultimately, the entourage effect means greater efficacy.

Broad-spectrum CBD oil

An interesting product in terms of value for money, broad-spectrum CBD oil has many attractive advantages for the more modest pocketbook. Less expensive than full-spectrum oil, broad-spectrum CBD oil is appreciated by consumers concerned about ingesting THC. In fact, it contains no THC whatsoever, making it legal at Ireland.

Yes, it's a significant advantage, but since it doesn't contain THC, full-spectrum CBD oil doesn't have a maximum entourage effect either. Its effects are therefore less potent than those of full-spectrum CBD oil. Likewise, its benefits may take longer to be felt by the consumer.

Isolated CBD oil

Isolated CBD oil, also known as isolate, is a very different product from the previous two. So, if you know little or nothing about cannabidiol, you're probably thinking "cool, cheap pure CBD!", yes, in fact that's correct except that this product can't be consumed as it is.

Not so good, you might say. Indeed, for CBD to be assimilated by the human organism, it must be combined with the other chemical components present in the plant, which is why full-spectrum oils are the reference product. However, isolates are perfect if you wish to increase the dose of CBD taken in addition to another product.

Which spectrum is right for you?

In addition to the concentration levels of CBD oil, it's essential to choose the right formula for your needs and intended use. This complicates the task of choosing the right product for you. In fact, there's no such thing as a good or bad product, just some that are good for use and some that are not.

So, full-spectrum CBD oil is always the one we recommend to take as is. Perfect for sublingual use or for adding to culinary or even aesthetic preparations, it stands on its own and is our best-selling product.

As for broad-spectrum CBD oil, it's a good alternative for the same types of use as full-spectrum, but suitable for slightly tighter budgets.

Isolated CBD oil is quite different. In fact, it cannot be consumed as is, as it does not benefit from the entourage effect mentioned above. As a result, it is mainly used to supplement the CBD content of a product that already contains it. For example, you can increase the dose of your broad-spectrum CBD oil by adding isolate.
